ToolForge ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website at ToolForge (the "Service"). The short version: we collect almost nothing, we store nothing on our servers, and we never sell your data.
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
All tool processing happens entirely in your browser. When you use the Word Counter, calculators, JSON Formatter, or any other tool — your data never leaves your device and never reaches our servers. The Online Compiler sends code to Judge0's sandboxed execution environment solely to run it; we do not log or store your code. The IP Address Lookup tool queries ip-api.com using your IP address to return location data; we do not log these queries.
We use your browser's localStorage to remember which tools you've recently used, so we can show them in the "Recently Used" section on the homepage. This data never leaves your browser and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand general usage patterns (such as which tools are most popular). If implemented, this collects only aggregated, anonymous data and no personally identifiable information.
ToolForge uses the following third-party services in limited contexts:
Judge0 CE
Code execution for the Online Compiler
ip-api.com
IP geolocation for the IP Address Lookup tool
ToolForge is safe for users of all ages. Because we collect no personal information whatsoever, there are no special concerns regarding children's privacy under COPPA or similar regulations.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of ToolForge after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
