KMC Peshawar is the crown jewel of KMU admissions and closes above 88%. If your projected aggregate is 83–87%, you are competitive for KGMC and affiliated private medical colleges but likely not KMC regular seats. Apply to all affiliated private colleges simultaneously — they have separate merit lists with lower cutoffs.
KPK domicile is required for government seats
Government MBBS and BDS seats at KMU-affiliated colleges are reserved for KPK domicile holders. Non-KPK students can apply to private affiliated college open seats. Verify your domicile eligibility before applying — submitting without correct domicile documentation will disqualify your application.
Apply to NUMS as a parallel track
NUMS (Army medical colleges) uses a different formula and test, running completely parallel to KMU. Students from KPK can apply to both KMU and NUMS simultaneously. AMC Rawalpindi (NUMS, 90%+ aggregate) and KMC Peshawar (KMU, 88%+ aggregate) can both be targeted in the same admission year with separate applications and tests.
